The Dieppe Industrial Park is in a prime position to accommodate long-term distribution and trucking industries. The strategy created by the Canada East Air Cargo Gateway has helped to make this industrial park a major player in the economic well-being of the entire region in order to allow companies to import and export goods more efficiently by air as well as by road, and rail. This infrastructure project, funded by the Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Governments with funds totalling almost $6 million, is part of an ongoing quest by the EDCCD to accrue lands for future development, and they already hold considerable areas in the surroundings to facilitate future growth and expansion in the region. With a mandate to integrate commercial zones with residential communities by private developers with a 60%/40% ratio, of its fiscal revenues, the EDCCD’s aim is the creation of a well-balanced community.
